City: Mica State/Prov.: WA Occupation: RN Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 From Tracy: Went to nursing school. Not what I planned originally. But I'm glad I did. It's very satisfying work helping people recover and go home after stroke, heart surgery, hip & knee surgery, brain injury, etc. I've been at St. Luke's Rehab for 13 years. Rob's been with me 20 years, 18 years married. Our remarkable Bethany is almost 5. We love it out here in Mica, moved here 4 years ago. May God bless you as much as He's blessed us! |

City: Cascade
State/Prov.: MI Occupation: Child Wrangler/ Landscape Engineer/ Chef/ Head House Cleaner/ Contractor/ Apprentice Golf Pro/ Bar Stool Warmer Website: familyinexile.spaces.live - .com Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 From Sean: "Addendum 1:45 am @ TG's in black text, if anybody really cares of reads these things." OMG has been 20 years? It appears that I won the prize for longest bio, and thank too Mark and Christina "Hoover" for saving there "longwindedness" for the blog page. Some of you may not know, but I've become quite the renowned author. A few may remember, sometimes never letting me forget, a few of my more famous one liners like: "how about we make out" "do you mind if I ____ your ___" or "Mike _____ is a ____ bag" Fill in the blanks if you think you can. Fortunate for me I found somebody early in life that was willing to look past my charm and wit and see what little positive attribute I may have. Which leads me to "rest of the story". This is where I get pretentious. My life following Ferris has been a frivolous existence. I married my life long love, Kari Tarbert (married way out of my league), we graduated from EWU and then we became "corporate slaves". As "corporate slaves" we made "money" (really not that much money) working for "the man" by enthusiastically selling things we could hardly care about. We then spent the "money" "the man" gave us on very important things like eating at a variety of different restaurants, drinking a variety of different drinks, (Dick's drive Inn, Monark vodka on the rocks) traveling to mainly warm and sandy places, (Pot Holes Reserviour) With little to show for our time as "corporate slaves", but a few photo's, I sometimes wish I where a little more like Dal who has the first dollar he ever earned, but we do have our memories of our past life as DINK's. Our life of decadence and gluttony was seriously scaled back (except for the eating and drinking) when Kari took a position as "the man" in Grand Rapids Michigan and I took an early retirement of sorts. The move lead to my two new loves in life, golf and Collin Brady Leland. Collin was born 6/15/06 and life, as many of you already who have children know, HAS CHANGED!! I've always been a little slow (I thank my friends for looking past my short comings and sticking with me for the past twenty plus years), but I have a new found respect and appreciation for all the good parents I know. Parenthood like golf can be as rewarding as it can be frustrating, yet you love to go back for more. Like the 300 yard drive keeps me going back to the course every chance I get, a belly busting laugh from Collin makes me forget about the many sleepless nights, diapers, crying for no apparent reason, throwing food (NO!!) etc... So now that my role in life has changed from "corporate slave", and maybe one day being "the man", too a fat/big boned, bald, stay at home Dad with a slight drinking problem (consuming more alcohol calories than I burn can be a problem for some) and a baby girl on the way (at 37? what are we thinking?), (and is now here and is like her older brother, colicy) I wouldn't have it any other way. No offence to all of you who may be "corporate slaves" or "the man". I can't wait to see you all, and party with the old crew, you know who you are. |
