Michael Jackson, bidding farewell?
|
Michael Jackson
King of Pop
Dead at age 50
Well, ever the skeptic that I am, I'll believe it when I see it. Chances are we're witnessing the next "Elvis Presley Exit." From what I've read, MJ was recently backed by two BILLIONAIRES to get his act back on state for 50 shows in London.
His backers envisioned the show as an audition for a career rebirth that could ultimately encompass a three year WORLD tour, new album, movies, a Graceland-like museum (see where my above comment relates???), musical revues in Vegas and Macau and EVEN a Thriller casino. They say that such a rebound could have wiped out Jacksons massive debt.
Anyone see "Eddie & The Cruisers". Everyone knows the Elvis story. This is Michael Jackson heading to an island he bought with his backers money and living freely the rest of his days.
Again... I'm the skeptic.

Just a note to connect with y'all once again. It's been a few months and I got to thinking that a colorful Easter Egg on the site, might not jive as we head into June. For those of us who have weathered the absolutely miserable spring that Spokane had to offer us this year - to you I say BRAVO! We did it! Thankfully our sunshine has arrived, and with it, some fairly pleasant temps! Hopefully Mother Nature got it out of her system!
As we embark on June - July - August and perhaps some road trips for you and your family - we just ask that you take the time to remember what fun you had reconnecting with folks last summer and, if possible, try to make those connections as you head into town or towards one of your classmates fair cities! You'll be glad you did!
For those of you who love sweaty bodies (mens and womens) I suggest you make an appearance on the Downtown streets of Spokane the last weekend in June as Spokane Hoopfest celebrates and puts on it's 20th tournament! Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will be in town and speaking on Friday night, prior to Tip-Off! Tickets are available through Ticketswest and are $50. I'm sure many of you have youngsters partaking in the event, or perhaps some of YOU are - when your Saturday games are done, make a plan to meet up with some FHS friends and kids, swim, BBQ and head home for a good nights' sleep before heading back downtown in the AM!
We Minnerlys have three boys participating once again and are proud that one of them used the word "Ferris" in their team name! GO SAXONS!
Hopefully this summer provides everyone some time to relax, play, finish up an outdoors project, potty train a puppy? Potty train a toddler... and enjoy your friends and family!
Cheers!
